LIVE AT MALT
COMEDY FOR A CAUSE
Egress
After the shows, people will file out the venue in an orderly way. The venue has two exits, one is the front door of the malt, and another one is the emergency exit. We are using the front door as the main entrance and exit for the event. Moreover, we are going to do the check in at the outside of the main entrance.
Clearing of the attendees and equipment
We had prepared a list of attendees before the event, and we will clear the attendees at the main entrance.
At the end of the event, we will clear all event equipment, and packed the equipment back to the van, return all equipment at the next day. Besides, we will restore the venue after the event. Malt prefers all people off the outside deck by 10pm, as there could be noise complaints from neighbours, especially since it is a weeknight.
Waste removal and cleaning
Waste collection during the setting up, and after the event, also we will try to reduce the waste as possible as we can.
We will do the cleaning after the event, and the malt’s staff will help us to do the cleaning work.
Lockup
When we finish restoring the venue as before the event. The Malt’s staff will shut down the venue’s facilities and lockup the venue when they were leaving.
Contract acquittal
After the event, we will pay the bills which include the MC’s fees and drinks, and we will write a thank-you note for all sponsors and send it to them by e-mail. Also, we had arranged a lunch meeting with the mental health foundation to donate our profit.
Closing Down the Event
Written by Leo
The event is not over until the event has been “shut down”. This part is one of the most important categories of event management. Our comedy show will be ended at 9:45 pm. However, there still has lots of important work to do until the event completely “shut down”. It would include the guests file out of the venue, pack out the equipment, cleaning and lockup the venue. Besides, the Malt’s staff will help us to do those closing work for the event.
