Sponsorship and Budget
Budget
This budget is related to what we assumed the profits and expenses would be for the Live at Malt event and compared to the actual profits and expenses once the event had been completed. It can be seen from this budget that we had very favourable results, even though the profit was slightly less than budgeted, as the expenses were far less than expected thanks to many generous donations. It is important to have a budget to control spending and avoid making a loss.

Sponsorship
Sponsorship is important for an event such as Live at Malt, as there is a need to limit expenses so that the maximum profit can be made, considering all of these profits are going towards the Mental Health Foundation. 8Events reached out to local businesses in the Grey Lynn area and other related companies to ask for any donations they could provide. The generosity from these sponsors is greatly appreciated and their donations come mostly in the form of prizes for the Live at Malt raffle giveaways, which are sold on the night, where attendees exchange a $2 or $5 donation for a ticket into the raffle draw.
